I love drawing faces for their incredible connective power. They are my way of exploring relationships with myself and other people, be it those I know, those I only know of, or those I don’t know at all, so you'll find a range of faces in my collections, from Cilla Black to my Nan's cat! My art embraces the joy of diversity and imperfection, celebrating the beauty that naturally lies in confidence, expression, and age, in every wrinkle, mole and shadow we so often try to hide.
I work as a theatre actor as well as an artist, and also have a degree in French & Italian and a Masters in Translation. Through all the threads of my career, I explore connection, communication and expression, and creating art is the most peaceful form of that for me. Each piece is imbued with the freedom I feel when making it, and I hope my collectors feel a sense of that when looking at my work on their wall!
